Privacy
Privacy policy
Draft. This policy is waiting on review and may change before we take our first client.
This policy covers hometownbot.com and the work Hometown Bot does for its clients. Hometown Bot is a business name of Simulation Dynamics, Inc. ("we"). It's written in plain language on purpose.
The short version
- Your customers' information stays your information. We handle it only to do the work you hired us for.
- We never sell personal information, and we don't share it for advertising.
- We set no advertising cookies and build no retargeting audiences.
What this website collects
The walk-through form. Your name, business name, kind of business, town, email, phone if you give it, and what you tell us eats your time. We use it to contact you about a walk-through. It's stored on our server and is not shared.
Spam protection. The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from bots. Cloudflare sees basic information about your browser to do that.
Analytics. If we add visit counting, it will be Google Analytics, off until you accept it where the law requires, and off anywhere a browser's Global Privacy Control signal asks.
Your business's data
When we build or run something for you, such as a website, booking, phone answering or a back-office tool, we handle your business's and your customers' information only to do that job. You decide what's in it, it stays yours, and when you stop working with us we give you a copy and then delete what we hold.
Who we share it with
Only the services that run what we build for you, such as hosting, email, text and phone providers, and an AI service when a tool drafts answers. Each gets only what it needs for that job.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete what we hold about you.
Children
This website isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date below.
